“BAT” (Basic Attention Token) is a new blockchain digital advertising platform token. The token is paid to users for viewing ads, thereby increasing the effectiveness of ads for advertisers.

The “Brave” browser provides such an opportunity: the user views ads in this browser and receives a reward in the form of a BAT token for this. Advertisers, in turn, can target their ads more precisely, maximizing audience engagement while weeding out scammers and abusers.

BAT was developed by Brendan Eich and Brian Bondy. Both of them have significant achievements in the creation of browsers. The main purpose of BAT is to serve as a means of payment for launching advertising campaigns in “Brave Ads”.
