“Contentos” (COS) is a platform for creating a decentralized local content space that allows creators to freely create content, stream or share it seamlessly.

While alternative virtual entertainment platforms offer some freedom and voice, in some cases the model used by Facebook and other tech giants can be very restrictive for content creators. Huge technological monsters can interfere and influence what we see, from the news to our social activities.

The Contentos (COS) platform allows content creators to earn revenue independently of the customer and advertising.

Controlled by non-profit hosts, Contentos (COS) offers simple constructs where content creators are released from content liability, retain special content creator privileges, and earn a wide range of rewards on the platform. The relationship between the sponsor and the creator is governed by the agreement. Payments can go both for views and for the amount of information created. Users can directly pay the creators or give them gifts. And creators can work with each other.

There is a video platform powered by the Contentos blockchain where creators can upload videos that users pay to watch. There is also COS Space, a place to display NFTs.

Contentos is led by Mick Tsai, a Master of Computer Science from California State University, with 15 years of experience in leadership roles at companies such as “LiveMe” and “Trend Micro”.

Contentos Vice President Peter Wei has over 13 years of experience as a designer. His main areas of expertise are security agreements, encryption, and information structures. His past work at HTC and “Cheetah Mobile” has led him to focus on innovation in portable applications.

Another Vice President of Contents, Zak Nien, graduated from National Tsinghua University in Taiwan with a master's degree in information systems and applications. After college, he worked primarily in the IT security industry, accumulating 10 years of experience. As a senior engineer at “Trend Micro”, he has worked in programming, web composition, IoT, and a wide range of applications.

Contentos entered the ICO on May 25, 2019 and sold 3 out of 10 billion COS tokens. The group raised a total of just over $30 million.

The platform offers authors and consumers the following conditions:

- Distribution of payments: thanks to the decentralized payment system, all payments are made directly to the content producer.

- Decentralized flow management: Users are incentivized to share and promote content they like in exchange for certain prizes.

- Copyright: blockchain technology guarantees fixation of copyright.

Contentos (COS) is a truly new endeavor, it enjoys solid support from Chinese financial institutions. Clearly, Contentos can make a big difference with over a billion potential customers in China alone.
